The Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band honored William Hughes and William Denton during a performance in Tilson Auditorium on Sunday, Feb. 18. 2007. Denton and Hughes are retiring this spring, and ISU is celebrating the musical contributions they’ve made over their tenure here at the university. John Barnes Chance’s Introduction and Capriccio for Piano and 24 Winds and Carl Maria von Weber’s Concertino in C for Solo-Oboe and Harmony Music are two extremely superb chamber settings that spotlight the talent of these two accomplished musicians.
